A little more serious here, with pretty Barolo notes coming through to the finish. This wine, although young, is so accessible now with it's crunch of crisp red fruit flavors, dried, rubbed herbs and lifted floral-rose petal notes. It will only get better if you can stay out of it.
The owners of G.B. Burlotto recently purchased a new vineyard site in Monforte d'Alba (in the Castelletto cru). The plot measures one hectare, and the Nebbiolo vines are 45 years old. They declassify some of this Barolo Cru into their Langhe Nebbiolo.
