The fruit for this wonderful Chardonnay is harvested just south of Beaune, in the Cote Chalonnaise region. Grown on hillside vineyards rich in limestore, this sees stainless steel fermentation with about 10%-15% seeing used oak foudre (Big Barrels) just to round out the texture. This shows boatloads of crisp orchard fruit, with white peach, poached pear and sliced Mcintosh Apple with a fine lace of minerallity freshness. Crisp and delightful. For those who don't want to taste the oak. *It's a killer price for a true white Burg and the last time you will see this bottling. It's worth a case for summer drinking. -KEITH
