QUOTES: "The 2019 Barolo Monfalletto is a dense, powerful wine. I don’t remember a vintage of the Monfalletto with this much sheer concentration and color saturation. “ Antonio Galloni-VINOUS

The 2019 Barolo Monfalletto (made with organic fruit selection from across the vineyards that surround the winery in La Morra) shows grit, density and rich texture. The house style prizes muscle and brawn in this vintage that lends itself handily to these qualities. Pressed cherry and blackberry cede to licorice, cured tobacco and iron ore. With 53,000 bottles released, this is the estate's most representative Barolo.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND A GREAT CHOICE FOR THE CELLAR
It captures beauty in a bottle, with the an essence of redfruits. Bright, tangy, and high toned with juicy red plums, ripe red cherries, cran-apple notes against a lovely backdrop of cinnamon, sandalwood and bakers spices. Pretty and effortless, it is a joy to drink. Has good depth of fruit and immediate appeal but the back-end tannins will really reward you if you have patience to cellar for 7-8 years. - KEITH
