80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. Just a killer price for a great Chateauneuf Du Pape grown in the old, rocky, stony-galet roule covered soils. It's the best deal we've seen on CDP (even better than the Chateau Du Midi last year) in a while.
Chateauneuf always has a beautiful garnet-ruby color with bright red reflections. A nose with notes of sweet red cherries, blackberries, spice and garrigue. A silky palate is expressed by its depth and suppleness with aromas of kirsch and blackcurrant finishing with notes of white pepper, rubbed Provencal herbs and ultra-fine tannins. Complex wine with roundness, power and good length without giving up its sensual, charming character. Keith
