From 60+ year old vines. Chiroubles contain the highest vineyards in Beaujolais, with slopes often exceeding 30 degree inclines. We drank this wine today and were blown away by the crunchy freshness of redfruit, such as morello cherry, sweet pomegranate, cranberry and wild black raspberry. This also has an attractive wild underbrush-rubbed provencal herb note. The mouth feel is rich with plenty of red fruit flavors and a great attack of purity and sweetness.
