100% Syrah. Just classic Chave style. A beautiful purple/black color, this starts out with all of the fresh cracked pepper, crushed violet and smoky/gamey, mineral notes you could ask for in great syrah. Perfectly blanced, it floats with an ease and weightless effort of a ballroom dancer. Great saturation of flavors with purple plum and blackberry fruit, boysenberry, rubbed Provencal herbs and a light smokey, mineral-earth note. Brilliant Syrah from a master and NOT miles behind his L'Ermitage bottling. Definitely one for the cellar, it will become magical with age.-Keith
