Prapo is like if a lumberjack melded with Walt Whitman or Charles Dickens. Located in Serralunga, Prapo carries the structure and muscularity that Serralunga is known for, but a closer taste reveals a laser beam of focused red fruits and a wine that's wonderfully polished, with serious depth, charm and character. A thinking man's Barolo, built for serious contemplation!
95 Points Jeb Dunnuck
Taking on a deeper profile, Prapo exudes notes of kirsch, black licorice, polished leather, and lavender. Full bodied and approach-able, its refined, ripe tannins do well to accept the ripeness of the fruit that remains pure. It has a silkiness in its texture and fruit profile without losing structure and delivers notes of black tea, truffle, and blackberry as well as a long finish.
