THINK BAROLO ON A BUDGET
100% Nebbiolo from two single Barolo sites from La Morra village:
A shimmering ruby red color with beautiful clarity. Starts with a good essence of Nebbiolo, the nose is pure red fruited, delicate and complex with high toned notes of bing cherry, dried cranberry, pomegranate, and wild raspberry against a backdrop of sandalwood, rubbed herb and a light whiff of spice. It's like drinking a beautiful Pinot Noir with more backbone and stuffing.-Keith
Contains fruit from these two sites in La Morra-Barolo. These cru sites could be potentially used for Barolo, but are declassified, vinified and aged to be Langhe Nebbiolo

Bricco Manescotto
Southwest Barolo slope, a small portion of this vineyard is used for Cordero Di Montezemolo's "Monfalletto" Barolo (Which we sell). Comprised of a light soil where sands combine with limestone, this cru offers wines of delicate structure with floral, delicate aromatics with focused fruit with a good tannic backbone.
-
Annunziata (Hill of Annunziata)
One of the most prestigious sites in all of Barolo, this slope is dominated by sandy top soils over Sant'Agata fossili marls. The style of this site can be described as elegant, with a ethereal, celestial, delicate beauty to them with fine, polished tannins.Â
- (Scavino's best wine, Rocche dell' Annunziata Riserva comes from the far west end of this hill - and is best described as "the iron fist in a velvet glove)
