100% Pinot Noir. Great entry level Burgundy. Shows off the freshness and briskness of the vintage. Bright, crisp and sappy with plenty of fresh red fruit aromas and flavors. The brisk, defined, brambly aromatics are bolstered by an underlying richness and concentration of old vines fruit. Red cherry, raspberry, red currant and pomegranate dominate but it's not at all tart. It is fleshy but there are some mushroom/earth tones that will develop nicely with some bottle age. The acids are ripe, high pitched and add definition, but the fruit matches it perfectly. Well balanced.-Keith
The Bourgogne Rouge is harvested from the lower slopes of Chorey les Beaune that look up onto the Grand Cru hill of Corton. Average age of the vines here are 45 years of age. The work in the vineyards is meticulous – everything is done by hand and across the range, the reds are pure, red-fruited and aromatic.
