95 POINT SCORE - WINE ENTHUSIAST
"Sourced from the producer's flagship monopole vineyard, this blackberried sip spotlights ripe but pristine berry and cherry flavors accented by whispers of smoke and peppery spice. Moderately full in body, it's silken and supple in mouthfeel, with a glossy fringe of tannins that linger on the finish. Lovely already, the wine is likely to improve through 2035 and hold further still." -The Wine Enthusiast
This 2018 is wonderfully balanced with a great core of fruit that will ensure long, graceful aging in a cool cellar.
We were excited to snag both of these vintages after tasting them side-by-side with some stout competition. Two more winners in Gelin's stable of outstanging Burgundy and probably their most important property even more so than the Grand Cru "Clos De Beze" we sold earlier this year -Keith
