NOTES: Whether due to the proximity to Meursault, or Monnot's general style, this chardonnay takes on some wonderful Merusault-like character. Aromas of hazelnut and butterscotch are followed by crisp orchard fruits and lively, fresh minerality. Full-ish in body with textural richness and a powerful follow through of flavors. Notes of hazelnut, hints of fresh butter, and orchard fruit are followed by fresh acidity that keeps it snappy and focused.
